Last week, my daughter shared an incident at school that filled me with pride. During a group task, one girl made a racist comment about her sister, saying, “No offense, but she’s sad because she’s with a Black person.” Without hesitation, my daughter responded calmly but firmly, “That’s racist!” Her boldness and ability to stand up for what’s right made me feel an overwhelming sense of pride.In that moment, I was reminded of how proud I am to have raised a child who values kindness, courage, and integrity. It reaffirmed that I’m on the right path as a mother, instilling important values in her.
