Celebrating Black Scottish Stories in Motion
At Black Scottish Stories, we believe in showing up. Whether we’re hosting our own gatherings or being invited to share our voice at events across Scotland and beyond. This page highlights the spaces we've created and the stages we’ve been welcomed onto. From storytelling nights and community forums to cultural festivals and panel talks, every event is part of our mission to celebrate, connect, and amplify Black experiences in Scotland. Black Scottish Stories Joins Fife’s First Afro-Caribbean Summer Festival as Media Partner
When storytelling meets community, something magical happens.
We’re thrilled to announce that Black Scottish Stories is an official media partner for the Afro-Caribbean Summer Festival taking place on Saturday, 5th July 2025, at Pittencrieff Park (The Glen), Dunfermline.
This isn’t just any event. It’s Fife’s first of its kind—a bold celebration of African and Caribbean culture in the heart of Scotland. Think: sizzling jollof rice, juicy jerk chicken, live drums, DJs, dancers, face painting, art, fashion, raffles, and the joy of being seen and heard.
We’ll be there in full, capturing stories, sharing experiences, and spotlighting the vibrancy of our community. From food to fashion, music to memory-making, this festival promises a sensory feast that reminds us of home and the beauty of cultural exchange.
Join us as we document, connect, and celebrate together.
